Lizane: Syrian - Belgian relations are good

Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee at Belgian Senate Anne Marie Lizane has described the Belgian - Syrian relations as good referring to the possibility of realizing important parliamentary links between the two countries.

In this context, Syria can explain her view over the latest developments and over boosting the bilateral relations between the two countries. In an exclusive statement to SANA yesterday, Lizane condemned the Roadmap plan stressing that it is a mere American plan.

She asserted that there is no real future for this formulated map since Israel sets up the "racial separation wall."

She made it clear that the Israeli - American attempts continue to reject the European ideas that call for realizing a solution for the Middle East question through sending international forces to the occupied Arab territories.

Lizane condemned also "the US lies about weapons of mass destruction which were taken as pretexts to launch its war against Iraq."

She called for not recognizing the transitional ruling council in Iraq unless it was given the international legitimacy feature.
