Athletics: world champ, bidouane, withdraws from world championships

Nezha Bidouane, two-time world champion in 400 M hurdles, will not participate in the world athletics championships, to be held Aug. 23-31 in Paris, for a knee injury.
The Moroccan star said a knee mussles lesion will compel her to a three-week rest, Bidouane's medical staff said.
Bidouane is world champion of 400 m hurdles in Athens (1997) and Edmonton (2001).
