Bush holds telephone talks with Crown Prince Abdullah

The White House announced in Washington yesterday that the US President George W. Bush made a long phone call with the Saudi ArabiaÕs Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz that dealt with the efforts made to fighting what is called terrorism.
White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan said that Bush and Abdullah discussed bilateral relations to suppress the financing terrorists and arresting suspects having relations to armed groups. He described the talks as positive.
In the coastal city of Jeddah which overlooks the Red Sea, Saudi ArabiaÕs defense minister Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz and his deputy Khaled Bin Sultan met with the US Central leadership head, Army Gen. John Abizaid currently visiting Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi official news agency said that Abizaid who holds his first visit to the Kingdom since his appointment to this post on July 7th discussed issues of mutual concern during his talks with Prince Sultan and his deputy, in two separate meetings.
Washington has welcomed the first stand taken by the Saudi government towards the groups which call for Jihad against the USA, to restrict it and detain its activists.
