Syrian message to the UN on Israeli current escalation in Lebanon

Syria's permanent mission at the U.N. directed a message to the UN. Secretary General Kofi Annan and chairman of the UN. Security Council holding Israel responsible for recent escalation of tension in South Lebanon "because of the assassination of one of the Lebanese national resistance fighters in southern Beirut, in which Israel was directly involved in a move to divert attention from the building of the separation wall in the West Bank."
The message stressed that the only way to end the cycle of violence is by resorting to international legitimacy that stipulate the complete Israeli withdrawal from all the occupied Arab territories to line of June 4th 1967.
