News on killing seven American soldiers in different incidents in Iraq

An American military spokesman announced that one American soldier was killed and two others wounded in an explosion against them in al- Taji area to the north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

The military spokesman announced earlier in the day the killing of one American and wounding of another in a land mine explosion in the military car which was carrying them in al-Dour area on the road between Baghdad and Tikrit.

In the same context, witnesses said that four American soldiers were killed when their car fell in al- Sena'eyah area in Baghdad yesterday at midnight.

Witnesses said that a US helicopter rescued the US car from the river and took out the killed soldiers.

In al-Musil city, witnesses said that four persons were wounded in an attack by anti-tank missiles targeting an American military vehicle. Reports said that all occupants of the vehicle were injured.

Also in the context of the Iraqi resistance operations, an Iraqi oil pipelines was blown up near Haditha, 250 Km to northern west of Baghdad.

Haditah is considered an important center as it links oil fields in the south of the large Beji refinery, 200 km to the north of Baghdad.

Meanwhile, the city of Baqouba in Deyali governorate witnessed a demonstration which was attended by 400 of the Sunni and Shiite scholars and also representatives for the Christians and al-Sabea'. This was to submit a memorandum of complaint to the leader of the American forces in the governorate calling for releasing the Shiite scholar Abdul Karim al-Madani and his brother.

The American forces arrested the two men several days ago. This is, however, the second time in which al-Madani is detained.

In front of Palestine Hotel in Baghdad, scores of Iraqis demonstrated demanding the release of the secretary general of the free Iraqi society movement Abdul Mohsin Shalash who was arrested by the American forces four days ago.

The demonstrators headed for the Republican Palace where the headquarters of the American administration is, raising pictures for the secretary general of the movement and banners saying "release Shalash and do not steal the money of people."
