Ethiopian FM: Egyptian-Ethiopian relations strong

Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi on Tuesday said that his country's relations with Egypt were strong and deeply-rooted.
Zenawi, in statements to the Saudi ÒOkazÓ newspaper, noted that these relations were not affected by the abortive attempt on the life of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak few years ago in Addis Ababa.
A three way committee comprising Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan will be formed shortly to layout joint plans on the Nile water for the coming 20 years.
The committee falls within the framework of joint coordination among the three countries on the Nile water, he further noted.
