Fire ravages forest northern Morocco

Nearly 7 hectares of a forest located at 15 Km from Tangier was ravaged by fire on Monday.
Strong wind helped in the propagation of the fire whose causes are still unidentified, civil protection sources said.
The inhabitants of the neighboring regions helped the civil protection and local authorities put off the fire with the help of planes of the royal gendarmerie.
Lately, a fire broke out in a forest near Nador (North-eastern Morocco) destroying over 20 hectares. Another fire ravaged a forest near Assilah (northern Morocco), destroying a large part of it but left no victims. No human losses were reported.
