British and Russian ambassadors in Beirut vow support to ME peace

Britain's ambassador to Lebanon Richard Kinchen has expressed his country's concern over the Israeli military escalation in South Lebanon.
In a statement issued in Beirut yesterday following his meeting with Lebanese Foreign Minister Jean Obeid, the ambassador stressed his country's support to move the peace process forward according to the Security Council resolutions, Madrid reference and land for peace formula.
In the same context, the Russian ambassador to Lebanon Borice Bulotin said following his meeting with Obeid also, that he will inform his government of the Lebanese stance vis-a-vis the latest developments in South Lebanon.
He promised that his country will discuss the possibility of supporting the Lebanese complaint to the Security Council.
