Lebanese resistance attack three Israeli positions in Shebaa farms; Israel raids southern Lebanese areas, using cluster bombs

Groups of martyr Ali Hussein Saleh in the Lebanese national resistance yesterday attacked the Israeli positions in al-Radar, Rweisat al-Alam and al-Sammaqa in the occupied Shebaa farms, using direct weapons and missiles. direct hits were achieved.

The deputy chairman of the Lebanese Hizbullah Party Sheikh Naem Qasem stressed that there are casualties among the Israeli occupation soldiers in the operation which was carried out by the Lebanese national resistance forces against the occupied Lebanese Shebaa farms yesterday morning.

In a statement Sheikh Qasem explained that the hits were precise and this matter will be seen within the coming hours as volume of the Israeli losses will be disclosed.

Meantime, the Israeli occupation forces bombarded yesterday, using heavy artillery, the outskirts of the Shebaa farms, and Kafer Shouba heights in the eastern sector of South Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said that the artillery bombardment coincided with mock and provocative raids carried out by the Israeli warplanes over the said area.

The Israeli warplanes also carried out seven raids against several areas in the eastern sector of south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli warplanes targeted the surrounding of the residential area in Kafer Shouba town and the area situated on Shebaa - Ein Ata road, the surrounding of Rashayya al-Fakhar, al-Habbareyah, Helta and Kafer Hamam where the Israeli forces used internationally banned cluster bombs.

The Israeli helicopters also launched raids by heavy machine guns against the surrounding of Kafer Shouba.

Between 60 to 70 Israeli shells were dropped at the outskirts of Kafer Shouba where a large fire erupted, as well as the outskirts of Shebaa, Helta and al-Sedana mountains.

Later in the day, the Lebanese national resistance resumed their attacks by rockets, directly against the Israeli occupation forces in the occupied Shebaa farms.

Later, Lebanese security sources said that the Israeli planes raided for 7 times the Lebanese border areas yesterday and used the internationally banned cluster weapons.

On the other hand, the Lebanese security forces arrested on Wednesday two persons after confiscating two telecommunication lines that were fixed over one building facing the place where one of the Hizbullah personnel was assassinated last Saturday by blowing up his car.

Lebanese security sources said that the two devices were found on Wednesday and the two persons who own the two devices are being interrogated.

On the other hand, one of the workers in the course of the United Arab Emirates UAE program to dismantle the Israeli mines from south Lebanon was wounded as one of the mines blew up in his hand.

Lebanese security sources said that the worker is from Zimbabwe and is gravely wounded in his chest, face and hands after a mine blown up he had been trying to dismantle in Sahl al-Mari area near Marjyoun city in South Lebanon.

Worthy mentioning that the Israeli occupation forces left more than 500,000 anti- vehicles and persons landmines in the south and in the western Bekaa before the withdrawal of the Israeli forces from south Lebanon in 2000.
