Egypt, Economics, 8/7/2003
Moody's, one of the world's leading providers of quantitative credit analysis tools for lenders, investors and corporations, is considering the setting up of a branch in the Middle East, taking Egypt a regional seat for its activities in the area.
During a meeting yesterday with Chairman of the Capital Market Authority (CMA) Abdul Hamid Ibrahim, the delegation reviewed Moody's activities in credit rating, financial and research, saying that Moody's intends to start work in Egypt through a local firm in the same field.
Moody's will provide all technical assistance to establish a reliable facility for rating, research and analysis services in Egypt and the region.
