A-Shara will be in Kuwait tomorrow

A Kuwaiti media source announced yesterday that the Syrian foreign minister Farouk al-Shara will pay tomorrow a visit to Kuwait. It is the first since the American invasion of Kuwait which resulted in making tension in the relations between the two states.

The source said that the "Syrian foreign minister Farouk al-Shara will visit Kuwait next Friday after he had apologized from visiting it Tuesday evening. Relations between Kuwait and Syria were intensified strongly during the Iraqi crisis and reached the extent of exchanging accusations through the private media in the two states.

However, a visit by the former Kuwaiti foreign minister Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah to Damascus following the collapse of the Iraqi regime helped improve of the atmosphere.

Al-Shara's last visit to Kuwait was two years ago with President Bashar al-Assad during al-Assad tour on the Arab Gulf states.
