Al-Ahram: UN to witness US move to obtain legitimacy to new situation in Iraq

In an exclusive interview with al-Ahram, Ambassador Ahmed Abul Gheit, Head of Egypt's permanent delegation to the United Nations voiced his conviction that the coming period will witness a US move to call upon the UN to play a major role on the Iraqi scene, pointing that the USA needs the UN support during the process of final settlement, and to give legitimacy to the situation in Iraq.
