Bahrain: new paper in October
Bahrain, Politics, 8/5/2003
The "Dar al-Mithaq for press and publication" in Bahrain announced it will publish a fourth daily in Arabic in Bahrain in October this year.
In a statement, the publication house which is contributed by a group of businessmen said that the idea of the paper stems from the need of Bahrain and the region to an independent daily that "would contribute to supporting the homeland in the phase of openness and building up."
On the other hand, the national committee for missing affairs in Iraq yesterday expressed its conviction that the ten Bahraini students who were missed in Iraq since 1991 are among the dead.
The committee said "according to information ( we have received ), the committee has a strong conviction that the fate of the missed beloved and brothers has become clearer in comparison with the previous phase and they are dead."
The committee concluded this result from witnesses who said that the students were arrested in the Iraqi city of al-Najaf and were taken to execution squares during the uprising of 1991.
