Al- Assad presides over the NAF meeting

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad chaired yesterday the meeting of the Central Leadership of the National Progressive Front.

The central leadership reviewed the regional and international situation and its repercussions on the Arab arena particularly the Middle East peace process and the current situation in Iraq.

The central leadership touched upon the positive spheres prevailing the Arab relations and the true desire to activate joint Arab action and reforming the Arab League as well as Syria's role in this regard.

The central leadership also discussed internal issues related to the administrational reform.

President al-Assad underlined the necessity of paying more accuracy and objectivity and adopting the scientific standards for evaluation and nomination to meet the interest of our people.

President al-Assad also gave his directives to activate the role of the Progressive National Front through enhancing and expanding the constructive dialogue in all fields.

For its part, the central leadership expressed high appreciation over President al-Assad stances concentrating on the importance of implementing all the issued laws and decrees.
