Al-Shara confers with AL chief

Syria's Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara received in Damascus yesterday Secretary General of Arab League, Amr Moussa regarding Iraq and Palestine.
They stressed the importance of boosting the role of the Arab League in order to develop the joint Arab work and unify the Arab stances.
Talks also dealt with the agenda of Arab Follow up Committee which will hold its meetings in Cairo on 4th and 5th of August 2003.
On the other hand, Secretary General of the Arab League, Amr Moussa stressed that his discussions with Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara dealt with the situation on the Arab arena.
In a statement to reporters following his discussions with al-Shara, he stressed that only a unified Arab stance can solve the problem of the state of disturbance in the Arab states.
