Al-Shara, Miro, talks with Indian FM

Syria's Foreign Minister Farouk Al-Shara described the Syrian-Indian talks as positive and very constructive.
In a statement on Saturday following his meeting with his Indian counterpart, Yashwant Sinha, al-Shara said that viewpoints were similar regarding all bilateral, regional and international issues which were discussed.
For his part, Sinha described his meeting with President Bashar Al-Assad as successful, fruitful and it dealt with several regional and international issues.
Sinha also pointed out that his talks with al-Shara dealt with means of enhancing bilateral relations particularly in fields of economy, technology and investment projects.
Sinha appreciated the Syrian-Indian relations which is built on the mutual respect and joint interest.
Meantime, Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa Miro received yesterday Sinha and an accompanying delegation.
Talks during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations of cooperation in the economic, trade, cultural, investment, banking and data technology fields and the latest developments on the Palestinian, Iraqi and the Indian sub-continent arenas.
Miro stressed the deep historical relations between Syria and India and the importance of enhancing them as well as activating the signed agreement and expanding the role of the businessmen and investors of the two countries.
Miro also stressed the important role that India can play on the regional level to achieve security and stability in the region.
For his part the Indian Minister expressed his country support to Syria's stance until restoring Syria's legitimate rights and reviving the peace negotiations based on the international resolutions and Madrid terms of reference.
