One American soldier was killed on Saturday in an attack against an American armored vehicle to the east of Baghdad and another was killed and other three wounded in an attack in anti- tank shelling to the north of the capital Baghdad, according to the spokesman for the US army.

News reports said that in al-Karrada area in Baghdad, two American soldiers were strongly wounded following a violent explosion which hit the area on Saturday afternoon, targeting an American procession.

The report added that the explosion which took place near al-Barakah bank targeted two military cars, noting that mortars were thrown by a civilian car before it had fled. The explosion resulted in material losses in the nearby shops.

Meantime, the two sons of the toppled Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and his grandson were buried in Saddam's birthplace, just hours after the American forces handed over their bodies to the Iraqi Red Crescent society, which by its turn handed over the bodies to members of their tribe.

Ode, Qusai Saddam Hussein and Mustafa ( 14 year old), son of Qusai were buried in a local cemetery near al-Auja village which is situated at the outskirts of Tikrit city.

The funeral ceremony was attended by just 40 persons of Al-Bunaser tribe, amid tough security measures by the American forces. Press and photographers were not permitted to attend the funeral. The news reports indicated that the US soldiers prevents Saddam's tribe to hold an eulogy of commiseration for their missing.
