France hails consensus over Sahara issue

France hailed Friday the consensus over the Sahara conflict in the United Nations Security Council through the unanimous adoption of Resolution 1495 that encourages parties to carry on dialogue to reach a political solution accepted by all.
"Thus, there is no imposed solution but an encouragement of parties to continue discussions to reach a political solution accepted by them," French foreign affairs ministry spokesman Herv? Ladsous, said.
