Indian foreign minister arrives in Syria

India's Foreign Minister Yashawant Sinha arrived yesterday in Damascus in a three-day official visit to Syria. In a statement to SANA' s correspondent, Sinha praised the standing bilateral relations between the two countries based on the joint interest, cooperation and the joint principles and values.
He added that this visit will boost the understanding and bilateral cooperation and it will stress India's support to Syria's national rights.
He asserted that the relations between the two countries have developed in the commercial, economic, scientific and technological domains.
He underlined the two countries' care for making use of the available abilities in order to achieve more development in relations through exchanging ideas and specifying the means which ensure the development of these relations.
