Yemen: arresting 6 members of Hatat group

Yemeni security sources announced that the authorities were able to arrest 6 Islamist members which carried out an attack against a military medical caravan in July.

The sources added that the arrest was made during a military operation carried out by the government forces at a position where the group was hiding in Hatat area of Abyan province.

The sources explained that the operations of chasing 28 members of wanted al-Jihad organization are ongoing, noting that the authority had taken measures to prevent their imposition once again in Hatat mountain.

Meantime, the sources added that investigations have started to disclose the implications of placing two bombs near the Egyptian embassy in Sanaa.
