Kuwait: body of the Lebanese woman prisoner buried
Kuwait-Lebanon, Local, 7/31/2003

A funeral was held yesterday in Kuwait for burying the body of the Lebanese woman Daad Omar Anis al-Hariri ( born April 4, 1957 ) who was recognized yesterday in a mass grave near al-Samawa area ( 200 Km to the south of Baghdad) in the presence of friends and relatives.

The team in charge of searching for Kuwaiti prisoners and missing in Iraq announced finding al-Hariri's remains and the remains of a Kuwaiti soldier called Jasem Hamid Abdullah al-Sammak ( born in 1970) in the same grave yesterday. The team said that al-Hariri was jailed on November 2, 1990 in Kuwait, but the statement did not explain the conditions behind her presence in Kuwait.

Kuwait's Amir Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah and the crown prince Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah yesterday sent two cables of condolences to the Hariri family in Lebanon.
