Morocco-Palestine, Politics, 7/29/2003
Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas left Morocco this Monday after a visiting to Morocco, during which he was received by King Mohammed VI.
Abbas, who stopped over in Morocco from Washington where he met with US President George W. Bush, told the press before departure that he conveyed to the king the greetings of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat. He added that he informed the King of the outcome of his trip to Washington and his talks with US officials.
Relations between Morocco and Palestine were also at the heart of talks, Abbas said, lauding the Kingdom's backing to the Palestinian people.
The issue of Al-Quds and the Israeli provocations regarding the holy city as well as the roadmap and the future relations between the Palestinian state and Israel were also surveyed, he said.
