Washington denies desire to ask the support of James Baker in Iraq
Iraq-USA, Politics, 7/29/2003
The US Department Of State has deliberately denied press information which stated by the end of the week that the US President George W. Bush intends to ask the former US Secretary Of State James Baker to take part in the efforts to rebuild Iraq.
The spokesman for the ministry Richard Boucher said replying to a question that is news is false. On Saturday, the Washington Post paper said that Bush intends to ask Baker to take part in the efforts to rebuild Iraq, currently made by the American civil governor Paul Bremer. Boucher added that Baker and the Secretary of State Colin Powell heard no one talking about that issue.
