Egypt: No decision for returning the Ambassador to Tel Aviv

Egypt denied yesterday what was indicated by the Jordanian foreign minister Marwan Muasher on Sunday that Amman and Cairo agreed "in principle" to return back their ambassadors to Tel Aviv, and stressed that "no decisions have been taken yet" on the matter.
Egypt also stressed that "Muasher should not talk on behalf of Egypt." An Egyptian official said "no decisions were taken yet. I do hope that conditions will not be teriorated further so as to be able to return back the Ambassador to Tel Aviv."
Another Egyptian official explained that "Marwan Muasher does not talk on behalf of Egypt.. The situation has not changed." The Egyptian foreign minister Ahmed Maher said recently that "no new decision has been taken that is conducive to returning back the ambassador. Israel has not moved on the right track." An Egyptian official said that any decision on returning back the Egyptian ambassador to Israel will be more expectedly taken in coordination with Jordan, but a stage as such has not been reached yet
The Egyptian official also said that the term of office of the Egyptian charge de affairs in Tel Aviv Eyhab al-Sharif, lasted for four years will be terminated by the beginning of August, noting that another charge de affairs will be appointed in succession of al-Sharif.
