Arab league aims to make finance related issues part of terrorism fighting
Regional, Politics, 7/26/2003

A meeting held at the level of experts for the council of the Arab ministers of the interior in Cairo has approved to amend the Arab agreement for fighting terrorism. The council's secretary general Muhammad Ali Koumna announced that the agreement was amended in its second article "by adding financing and provoking as well as raising funds to terrorist organizations and considering that of criminal acts."

He noted that this proposal will be submitted for adoption by the two councils of the Arab ministers of the interior and justice in their first meeting, along with amendments to make a distinction between "resisting occupation as a legitimate right and a national duty and between practicing terrorism."
