One Palestinian child killed, several wounded by Israeli forces

One Palestinian child was killed when the Israeli occupation forces opened fire at a car he was inside it near Barta al-Sharqeyah village to the west of Jenin. Other three Palestinians were wounded in the incident.
An Israeli military spokesman said that the event took place mistakenly and an investigation is being made.
After the killing of the 4- year old boy, more than 1,000 Palestinians including women gathered and accused the Israeli soldiers of killing their children.
The demonstrations threw stones at the Israeli forces while the soldiers retaliated with live bullet and tear bombs.
In Jenin, one Palestinian woman was strongly wounded when she was exposed to the fire of the Israeli forces which incurred yesterday in the city under the pretext of searching for what it called "wanted Palestinians." News reports said that an Israeli force of 20 military vehicles incurred yesterday at dawn in the city of Qalqilya and inspected the houses and arrested four Palestinians including two members of the Islamic Jihad cadres.
Another Israeli force broke into the southern east area of Toulkarem city and broke into scores of houses in search of what it claimed are wanted individuals by its security forces.
In Hebron, the Israeli army arrested four Palestinians, three of them belong to Hamas movement and in Nablus four Palestinians were arrested and pulled out from Qalqilya and Toulkarem with the fall of yesterday morning.
Jerusalem city yesterday witnessed strong security measures as the Israeli occupation forces prevented persons less than 40 year old from entering the al-Aqsa mosque to perform their Friday's prayers.
An intensive presence for the Israeli police was noticed in the mosque area. The Israeli police attributed the measures to avoid organizing Palestinian demonstrations in protest of permitting certain Jews and foreign tourists from visiting al-Aqsa.
However, in a statement with leaders of the Fatah movement on Thursday evening, the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat condemned the Israeli forces giving permit to certain Jews and foreign tourists to visit al-Aqsa mosque under the protection of the Israeli police.
In a statement, the Palestinian leadership warned against the Judaizing of the Mosque. The statement called on the international community to interfere in order to protect the Islamic holy sites in the Palestinian territories.
