Arab businessmen, investors union to cooperate for exports upgrade
Regional-Egypt, Business, 7/25/2003
The Federation of Egyptian Investors Association in new cities decided to join the Arab Businessmen and Investors Union, which comprises private sector representatives from nine Arab states, including Egypt.
Egypt's Secretary General of the federation, Mohamed Khamis, said an agreement was concluded with Secretary General of the Arab Businessmen and Investors Union, ambassador Gamal Bayoumi, for activation of the role of the private sector in Arab states.
Specialized industrial centers would be established in Egypt and other Arab countries to increase exports to foreign markets and redress the huge deficit in balance of trade between Arabs and the international markets.
