Egypt to dig 200 water wells in Kenya

Nile Basin cooperation was Thursday the focus of talks between Youssef Wali, the Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation and Kenya's Water Resources Minister Martha Karu.
The visiting minister will discuss with Egyptian officials extension of a project for digging subterranean water wells.
The Kenyan official said that she had asked for technical support from Egyptian companies in carrying out irrigation projects in her country.
Karu is due on Friday to visit the High Dam in southern Egypt.
