Three Polisario cadres return to homeland Morocco
Morocco-Algeria, Politics, 7/25/2003
Three executive cadres of the Polisario (Algeria-backed secessionist guerrilla movement that claims the independence of Moroccan southern provinces) serving in diplomacy and external relations have returned to Morocco in response to the royal call, "the homeland is clement and merciful," that promises exemption from sanctions and questioning to separatists who chose to return to their homeland.
The three persons include Mrs. Keltoum El Khayat, active in diplomatic and associations realms, who represented the Polisario in several international forums acting. She also served as executive at the department of external relations of the Polisario Women Union.
The second person is Sidati Mohamed Abdellahi, an influential official in diplomatic action who represented Polisario in Italy, Greece Malta and the Vatican.
Mohamed M'hamed Yahdih, so-called Mohamed Bouiya, who also returned to Morocco, is an important cadre in educational and associations action in Tindouf camps (southwestern Algeria) and an official in the external relations department of the "Polisario Youth Union."
Several other Polisario members have previously returned to Morocco, in a clear manifestation of their attachment to their Moroccan identity and to the links of allegiance that bind them along with their families and tribes to the Alawite throne and king Mohammed VI.
