Syrian - Lebanese parliamentary talks

Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri received in Beirut yesterday Syrian People's Assembly Secretary Mohammed Mshantat and an accompanying delegation.

Mshantat expressed relief over the results of the PA's delegation's visit to the Lebanese parliament on the level of exchanging expertise and cooperation between the parliaments in the two states.

For his part, Berri expressed appreciation over Syria's role in supporting Lebanon.

Berri stressed the importance of the establishment of a unified Arab parliament, and the issuing of unified Arab legislations in various fields.
