Morocco criticizes Le Monde for reproducing mandari's lies
Morocco, Politics, 7/23/2003
Morocco's legal consultant, Ralph Boussier, wrote to French "Le Monde" daily criticizing its stories that reproduce fictions created by Hicham Mandari who pretends that he served as "advisor of the late King Hassan II" and that he holds a Moroccan diplomatic passport.
The French attorney said the diplomatic passport proved to be a total myth and criticized Le Monde for "reproducing 8 times between June 1999 and April 2003" these wrong information and for refusing to publish various clarifications sent directly by Moroccan authorities and by his office, acting on behalf of Morocco.
Boussier warned that if "Le Monde" persists in its silence (over the truth), "the Kingdom of Morocco will refer the case to justice in order to obtain compensation and restore, once and for all, the truth over a case of swindling and counterfeiting." The consultant said Mandari, in his attempt to wash his hands off the case wants to lend on it baseless political marks.
