Israelis were hit by Hizbullah shelling
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 7/23/2003
Two Israelis were wounded yesterday from the remains of anti aircraft shells fired from south Lebanon, where the shells fell on Shaloumi city which is close to the borders.
The Lebanese Hizbullah party which is positioned in the south claimed responsibility for the operation of opening fire at two Israeli warplanes after they violated the Lebanese airspace.
The Lebanese police said that the planes broke the sound barrier over the southern Lebanon city of Sidon and Tripoli in the north.
However, the Israeli air violations of the Lebanese airspace continue despite the UN calls to halt these violations.
