Information minister confers with Turkish press delegation
Syria-Turkey, Politics, 7/21/2003

Syria's Information Minister received yesterday evening at his office in Damascus the Turkish Journalist delegation which includes representatives of Bani Shafaq, Hurriyat and Sabah newspapers, N.T.V and Channel 7 news stations

Talks during the meeting dealt with the Syrian - Turkish bilateral relations and means of enhancing them, particularly in the informative domain.

Omran stressed the importance of the visit which Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa Miro will pay to Turkey at the end of the current month for pushing relations forward in all domains.

Later, Omran answered the questions raised by reporters about Syria's regional role vis-a-vis the currently issues on Arab and world arenas.

Earlier, the Turkish delegation arrived in Syria today on an invitation by Information Ministry to hold a number of interviews about the Turkish - Syrian relations and the situations in the region.
