Al-Sader partisans denounce the occupation, two Americans were killed in al-Musil

Demonstrators threw stones at American soldiers who were guarding the headquarters of al-Najaf municipality during a demonstration which was attended by more than 10,000 persons of the supporters of the Shiite leader Muqtada al-Sader yesterday morning in protest of the American occupation forces cordoning al-Sader house in al-Najaf on Friday.
News reports said that negotiations took place yesterday between al-Hawza (the Shiite religious reference ) and the American forces during which al-Sader's supporters conveyed their demands for an apology of the American side for besieging al-Sader house; withdrawal from the city and closure of the Iraqi information network which belongs to the occupation because it broadcast programs violating the Islamic values.
The news reports said that the American forces promised to study these demands and to answer them later.
In al-Basra city, three Iraqis were wounded during their participation in a demonstration in the city in protest of the American forces besieging of al-Sader house. Eye witnesses said that a car belonging to the British civilian administration opened fire and this resulted in wounding three persons.
Meantime, yesterday witnessed a remarkable escalation of attacks against the American forces. An American military vehicle was exposed to an attack in al-Taremeyah area. 150 Km to the north of Baghdad.
Witnesses said they saw fire erupting from three American military buses. The witnesses could not know if there were casualties among the American soldiers or not. Immediately, the American forces cordoned the area and prevented journalists from taking pictures and started to remove the traces of the attack and broke into the houses surrounding the area in search for the attackers.
In another incident, two American soldiers were killed in an attack that targeted an American procession by mortars and heavy machine guns in northern Iraq yesterday morning. News reports said that the attack was against the air- borne contingent number 101 in Tel Afar area to the west of al-Musil city. The side which carried out the attack was not identified, while no casualties were reported in the lines of the attackers.
Meantime, one American soldier was killed and two other injured when their military vehicle collided on Saturday near Baghdad's airport, according to a statement issued yesterday by the American central leadership.
In al-Hella city to the south of Baghdad an American military spokesman said that one Iraqi was killed and another wounded in an ambush which targeted a procession for the World Health Organization and the immigration world organization yesterday morning.
