Al-Assad in Saudi Arabia

Syria's President Bashar Al-Assad held talks in Riyadh on Sunday with Saudi ArabiaÕs Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz.
Also, President Al-Assad, accompanied by Crown Prince Abdullah, paid a visit to the Saudi King Fahd at his residence. President Al-Assad is accompanied by Foreign Minister, Farouk Al-Shara.
Syria's President Bashar al-Assad and Saudi ArabiaÕs Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz held in Jeddah yesterday a joint meeting at Wardan Palace.
Talks during the meeting dealt with the bilateral relations between the two states in the frame of enhancing the joint Arab work in order to boost the Arab ability facing the current challenges.
Talks also dealt with the Iraqi situation where the two sides stressed the necessity of ending the occupation and that the Iraqi people have the right of self - determination and to complete their national march.
Concerning the Palestinian issue, talks also dealt with the efforts exerted aiming at ending the Palestinians' suffering and achieving just and comprehensive peace based on international resolutions and Madrid reference.
