Customers' bank deposit increase by 6% in 2002

Customers deposits at various banks increased by 6% in 2002 to reach 269.8 billion DH (US$ 28.4 billion), accounting for 73.4% of the banks' overall resources, says Morocco's central bank "Bank Al Maghrib." In its annual report, Bank Al-Maghrib says the banks' long-term and mid-terms loans decreased by 10.6% in the same period to stand at 19.9 billion DH (US$ 2.09 billion) as of December 2002.
