Egyptian prime minister visits Sudan today

The Egyptian prime minister Atef Ebeid will head for Khartoum today on top of a ministerial delegation in a visit which will last for two days during which he will preside over the Egyptian side to the meetings of the 3rd session of the Egyptian- Sudanese higher committee.

During this visit, Ebeid will be meeting with the Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir to hand him a message from the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. The message stressed Egypt's care to maintain Sudan's unity and readiness to rebuild areas affected by war in Sudan.

Obeid will be also meeting with (First) Vice-President, Ali Othman Muhammad Taha, and with several Sudanese ministers and high ranking officials.
