Four persons killed in new acts of violence in Algeria

Four persons were killed in a new armed attack on Thursday evening at a check point near Skikda city to the east of Algiers. The authorities said that what they called armed Islamists are responsible for the attack.

The Algerian security departments explained that these armed men surprised the four persons who were walking in a mountainous area before Thursday midnight, 20 KM to southern west of sKikda between Bishtata and al-Haddaeq town, and opened heavy fire on them and this resulted in killing all of them.

However, members of al-Salafeyah group for al-Dawa ( the call )and fighting (al-Qital ). which together with the armed Islamic group refuses the national reconciliation policy pursued by President Abdul Aziz Butaflika.

Since the beginning of the current month July, at least 27 persons were killed in acts of violence attributed to armed groups, according to statistics based of official statements and papers. The statistics said that the result of the acts of violence increased to 600 since the beginning of this year.
