Syrian - German cooperation agreements
Syria-Germany, Economics, 7/17/2003

Syrian State Planning Association's Head, Tawfik Ismael, and Germany's Ambassador to Damascus, Ibrahard Showbios, signed yesterday a two mutual documents for the project of the Experts and Studies Fund and an agreement concerning financial cooperation.

The German government offers, according to the two documents, 1,5 Million Euro in addition to the previously allocated sum for the experts and studies fund.

These documents aim at preparing an economic utility study for projects that will be financed from the offers, and which will be implemented in the framework of the vocational cooperation, exchanging experts and equipment imports.

The German government offers also according to the financial cooperation agreement a loan of 19 million Euro for the year 2002.

Later, Ismael and the ambassador exchanged a cordial speeches in which they expressed the deep relations between Syria and Germany.
