Syrian-Turkish efforts to eliminate border Mines

News reports in Ankara said yesterday that the Turkish army is preparing to defuse mines planted along the borders with Syria since 1952. The General Staff started to train its members, began to buy the necessary equipment and specified sums for this operation.
The government of the Turkish prime minister Bulent Ecevet took such a decision in the year 2001 when it prepared necessary plans to remove the mines.
