Syria is Ukraine's first economic partner in ME

The Economic and Trade Advisor of the Ukrainian Embassy in Damascus Sergi Basco stressed in Damascus yesterday that Syria is the most important partner for Ukraine in the Middle East.
In an interview published at the Ukrainian al-Saai al-Hokumi newspaper Basco pointed out that the trade exchange between the two countries reached to US $235 million in the year 2002.
