Eleven wedding killjoy Islamic extremists get prison sentences

The court of appeal of Meknes (150 km northeast of Rabat) handed out on Thursday sentences ranging between 4 years and one year in prison in the case of eleven Islamic extremists who assaulted last August a wedding party in the city.
Two of the group who were found guilty of undermining sacred institutions, disturbing public order, battery and assault, looting private possessions, were sentenced each to four years in prison and a 10,000 Dirham fine (about US$ 1,052).
Two persons who stood trial in the same case were acquitted.
Armed with swords, knives, iron bars, the men, members of "Al Assouna Wa Adddaoua" group assaulted in August a wedding party, wounding several guests.
