Syrian - Iranian relations highlighted

Iranian First Vice President Mohammed Reda Aref has stressed that the Iranian-Syrian relations are good and strategic asserting the necessity for boosting these relations.

During his meeting with Syria's Ambassador to Iran, Hamed Hasan. yesterday in Tehran, he expressed hope at developing the cultural, economic, and the commercial relations between the two friendly countries to reach the level of the political standing relations between them.

He also expressed Iran's readiness to transfer its expertise to Syria and to cooperate with Syria in the economic and petrochemical fields.

He stressed that exchanging visits between top officials in both countries helps in developing the work of the joint committee, executing the signed agreements between the two countries and developing the bilateral relations.

He also pointed out to the critical situation in the region calling for more consultation between the two countries in the interest of both of them.

For his part Hasan praised the standing relations between Syria and Iran stressing the necessity for developing cooperation between the two sides in the petrochemical and oil fields and establishing factories for cereals and cement.
