Moroccan NGO delegation meets with UK officials, press

A Moroccan delegation comprising NGOs from southern Morocco, currently on an information and work visit to the UK, has held a series of meetings with UK officials, local journalists and international correspondents, and several NGOs.
These encounters mainly aim to inform the British and international public opinion of the plight of Sahraoui populations and the tragedy of some 1,160 Moroccan POWs that have been sequestered in Tindouf (south-western Algeria) for more than 20 years by the Polisario (Algeria-backed secessionist group) in defiance of international law.
