International festival of Mediterranean cinema next september

The international festival of Mediterranean cinema will be held from September 24 through October 1st in the northern town of Tetuan.
The festival will open earlier than initially scheduled to avoid dates overlapping with the Marrakesh International Film Festival, to be held October 3-8, organizes said.
Mediterranean feature and short movies shot between 2001 and 2003 will be vying at the official contest of the festival which will award three prizes; the Tetuan City Grand Prix, The Mohammed Reggab Special Prize and the Tetuan Short Movie Prize.
A colloquy on "Cinema and Resistance, Words of two shores" will be held with the participation of producers, researchers, academics and writers.
The "Host of the Mediterranean" section will feature Latin-American movies and encounters, besides training sessions for high school and university students on cinema analysis.
