Yemen, Saudi Arabia exchange suspects

A Yemeni official said yesterday that Saudi Arabia handed over to Yemen three wanted Islamists including two suspects to have had taken part in an attack in 2002 against the giant French oil tanker Limburg.
The official added that the three men were among a group of 8 members who should be handed over by Riyadh in the framework of a security exchange operation and on the other hand, Sanaa will hand over Saudi Arabia five men. It is not clear, however, if the other men are wanted in crimes related to political violence.
However, the two states which chase al-Qaida organization fighters who is held responsible for September 11 attacks, vowed to escalate their security cooperation during a meeting at a high ranking level held in Sanaa last week.
