Syrian- Greek party cooperation

Assistant Secretary General of the Baath Arab Socialist Party Abdullah al-Ahmar received in Damascus syesterday the Secretary General of the Greek Communist Party Ilika Babarika and an accompanying delegation.

"The meeting dealt with the standing relations of cooperation between the two parties and means of activating dialogue among the two peoples. Talks also dealt with the situation in the region particularly the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people and the suffering of Iraqi people under the foreign occupation," SANA said.

For her part, Babarika expressed solidarity and support to Syria's stance for restoring the occupied Golan Heights.

She stressed Greece's concern over developing the friendship relations between the two countries.

Later, al-Ahmar received an Algerian delegation of the National Reform Movement Party headed by Abdullah Jab Allah, Chairman of the Party.

Talks during the meeting dealt with exchanging points of views on the relations between the two parties and means of enhancing them.

The two sides reviewed the situation on the Arab arena and the standing challenges facing the Arab Nation particularly the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian and the Arab territories and the American occupation of Iraq.

Al-Ahmar stressed the important role of the Arab parties in improving the Arab conditions and in developing Arab cooperation and coordination for the interest of the Arab nation.

For his part, Jab Allah expressed high appreciation over the developments Syria is witnessing and Syria's national stands under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.
