Yemen arrests fleeing Islamists

The Yemeni security forces arrested on Wednesday five persons among them two wanted Islamists who fled military confrontations.
A Yemeni security official said that the two Islamists fled from Hatat mountain by the end of June during the Yemeni forces breaking into the premises of the Islamic groups in the region The official who asked to be anonymous said that the other three persons were arrested in Jaar area, in Abyan province over being suspected that they were hiding fleeing extremists.
He explained that one Islamist was arrested in the city of Aden and he was among the persons who escaped from Hatat mountain. He said that the security forces continue the operation of searching for other members who successfully escape.
A security source said that on July 2nd the security forces arrested in Abyan province three members that belong to the "Aden army" who were able to escape from Hatat mountain a week earlier.
Also earlier, the Yemeni security forces and a terrorism fighting unit arrested chased Islamists.
