Syria's Deputy Premier for Economic affairs, Muhammad al- Hussein, has said that the Legislative Decree number 33 for the year 2003 issued by President Bashar al-Assad yesterday comes in the framework of the currently development and modernization march in Syria.

In a statement delivered to SANA correspondent yesterday, al-Hussein stressed that this decree is considered an important step in the economic reform march because it eliminated one of the obstacles which was hindering investment in Syria

One of the important and positive aspects of this decree is that it cancelled the role of Economic Courts concerning the committed infractions and it referred matters to the instant courts, al-Hussein added.

The issuance of this decree at this time stresses the leadership and Syrian government's confidence in the Syrian Economy capabilities, he said.
