Moroccan-Russian fisheries joint committee meets in rabat

Moroccan minister of fisheries, Tayeb Ghafes, and vice-president of the Russian fisheries state committee, Viatcheslav Volokh, co-chaired in Rabat Monday the opening of the two countries' joint committee of fisheries.
During a previous meeting with the Russian executive, Rhafes had voiced Morocco's wish to cooperate with Russia in ship construction. The creation of naval construction sites will meet the needs of Morocco's 2,000 unit-strong fleet in renewal and maintenance, and those of 22 African countries.
